UPG INCREASES LINE OF CREDIT TO $16MILLION

CARROLLTON, TX – (BUSINESS WIRE) – May 2, 2006 – Zunicom, Inc. (OTCBB:ZNCM), parent company to Universal Power Group, Inc. (“UPG”) and AlphaNet Hospitality Systems, Inc. (“AlphaNet”), today announced that UPG has executed certain loan documents to increase its existing $12MM revolving line of credit with Compass Bank to $16MM. The additional eligible borrowings are based on more favorable borrowings against eligible inventory, and will be secured by the assets of UPG including accounts receivable and inventory.
